FOR SOFT, SMOOTHER LOOKING SKIN
HOW DOES MICRODERMABRASION WORK?
It is a gentle exfoliation to remove the dry-skin layers of the epidermis and together with adjustable suction control, simultaneously stimulates the rebuild of collagen and elastin for firmer, healthier and younger looking skin. This can be performed with a diamond tip applicator and or a jet of fine mineral crystals passing over the skin’s surface.
WHO CAN BENEFIT?
Men and woman of any skin type or colour. Anyone with aging, congested, flaky, dry, devitalized, thickened, blemished, dull and sun damaged skin will have it rejuvenated and refreshed. Blotchiness, uneven ski tones, texture and pores will also be improved.
WHAT BODY AREAS CAN BE TREATED?
Most common areas of treatment are the face, neck, chest, shoulders, back, hands, knees and elbows. Area of concern which may be treated include:
Face and body peeling
Lined, wrinkled or damaged skins
Dull congested, thick or blemished skins
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
This treatment is meant to be progressive, not aggressive. Generally, results are more noticeable after the third treatment. Although, after the first session the skin will appear fresher, cleaner, smoother and softer.
HOW LONG DOES EACH TREATMENT TAKE?
The actual microdermabrasion treatment usually takes 45 mins. It includes a cleansing, 3 phases of microdermabrasion followed by a soothing hydrating mask, finally it is completed with treatment creams and SPF. You can also complete microdermabrasion with a full facial: extraction if needed, high-frequency pass, revitalizing serum and mask applied, followed by a massage and a protective cream application to finish. Give yourself 1 1/2 hours.
ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
Since there is minimal discomfort and no healing time, one can resume normal activities immediately after a treatment. You need to be careful if you are to be outside afterwards, since the skin becomes sensitive to the sun. Apply sunscreen if needed. You may experience a slight tingling and after the skin may feel tighter and may appear slightly flushed. This generally fades in 12 to 24 hours.
